SBEM (Simplified Building Energy Model)
The April 2006 revision to Approved Document Part L2 introduced the requirement for a CO2 emission calculation by an approved method. This was a requirement on non-domestic buildings which needed greater flexibility in the measurement of CO2 emissions.
Focus has provided this service since its inception and we recommend early advice to make informed decisions on the following:
- Mechanical Services
- Electrical Services
- Fabric Construction.
Through our experience we recognise the importance of assessing a project at design stage and suggest working closely with the Project Team on product selection to ensure compliance.
