Focus prepared the strategy, and negotiated the funding for the regional Innovative Actions "Regions in the New Economy" programme to be delivered using special reserved ERDF budgets. This attracted approximately £2 million to the East Midlands to stimulate new ideas in the spread of ICT technologies, led by the emda EMIT partnership. The programme supports new ideas in eBusiness, eGovernment, and eLearning, backed with a research programme.
