Focus worked with the North Derbyshire Chamber of Commerce to secure over £450,000 of support from the Phoenix Fund to establish two new projects on the Derbyshire/ Nottinghamshire coalfield. The first "Pilgrimage" created a new loan fund to support start up companies, which complemented the "NOMAD" programme that looked to develop entrepreneurial ability amongst young people.
