Focus were appointed by Nottinghamshire Training Opportunity to undertake a mid-term evaluation of its Workforce Development project. Funded by Nottinghamshire County Council, the European Social Fund and the Learning and Skills Council the project aims to provide a comprehensive package of personnel, recruitment and training support with the aim of increasing the competitiveness of companies, raising the skills and knowledge within businesses and safeguarding jobs in Nottinghamshire. The evaluation process involved data analysis, meetings with project management and staff, telephone interviews and case studies of a representative sample of individuals and businesses.
