Focus were appointed by a regional partnership of County Councils, led by the Coal Industry Social Welfare Organisation, to act as programme managers for the £12m Millennium Commission "Landmarks" Programme which has created twelve community centres on the coalfields of the East Midlands. The role involved overseeing the development and implementation of the programme including creating the financial and management systems, the baseline documentation, undertaking project appraisals, business planning, operational planning, community training and project implementation strategies.
